God Wants To Give You A Free Gift

The Bible, in John chapter 4, tells us about Jesus meeting a lady at the city water
supply in Samaria. This lady has a life of regrets and failures, but Jesus tells the
lady that He would like to offer her “the Gift of God”

If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’
you would ask Him, and He would give you living water. (John 4:10)

The GIFT of God is Eternal Life and Jesus wants you to have the same GIFT.
We can take the word GIFT and discover how to obtain it.

G is for Grace
Grace is simply receiving something from God that I do not deserve,
I could never earn, and I could never afford to buy, It’s Free...Gifts are Free.
That Free Gift is Eternal Life in Heaven

Romans 6: “the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Ephesians 2: “For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;
it is the Gift of God.”

I is for Identify
I have to be willing to identify myself as a sinner... The Bible
declares it, I need to admit to it. Sin can be an action, a word,
or a thought that God is not pleased with.

Romans 3 “all have sinned and come short of God’s Glory. it is written,
There is none righteous, no, not one.”

Because I am a sinner, I could never be good enough to deserve the Gift of Heaven.
But...God wants to give us this Gift, so to make it possible, He provided Forgiveness.

F is for Forgiveness

There are two unavoidable facts we need to understand about God. He is loving
and does not want to punish us. He is also Holy and Just, so sin must be punished.
So, knowing we are sinners, He sent His Son to take the punishment for our sins.

Isaiah 53 “the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all”

All you have to do is ask His forgiveness, and you will be
forgiven because Christ died on the cross for your sins..

1 John 1 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

T is for Trust

Knowing all this is useless unless I do something about it. Just being aware of the Gift
and having a desire to enjoy it does not put it in my possession.

Acts 16, a jail keeper asked “What Must I do to be saved?”
The answer, “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved.”

Believe means to Trust. I have to trust what Christ did on the cross to receive
the Gift of God. I can accept Forgiveness and the Free Gift in a very simple prayer.

Pray This Simple Prayer

The question I would like to ask you is...would you like to receive the
Gift of Eternal Life from God ? Yes, then pray this prayer, and then
let us know that you have received the Free GIFT!

Dear Jesus, Thank you for the Gift of Eternal Life. I admit that I am a
sinner and cannot get to Heaven without you. Please forgive all my sins
and take control of my life. I trust in your death on the cross and ressurection
from the grave to get me to Heaven. Thank You for dying in my place. A-Men
